Can I make a reservation into any apartment?

Yes you can, as long as there is availability. Click on the apartment you are interested in and click the “Book Now” button to see available dates.

Alternatively you can use the search form on the top left of this page to see all available apartments.

How long can I rent an apartment? Do I Need to pay a deposit?

All apartments are available for either one night, one month, or more. When renting for more than 10 days, a fair usage policy for all utilities applies. Cloudkeys strongly recommends that you contact our team to discuss your specific requirements.

For longer than 10-day rentals we typically charge a deposit which is returned to you after your checkout date. For rentals shorter than one month, the deposit is approximately 50% of the rental amount. For longer stays the deposit is equal to one month rent.

What is your early check-in and late checkout policy?

Please note that our check-in staff are available during the check-in opening hours on a daily basis.

We can discuss early check-in for your arrival date. If the apartment is vacant the previous night  and there is availability from our staff, we may be able to check you in earlier. There maybe an early check-in fee, as a member of staff will need to work outside their normal working hours.

Late checkout is more difficult, but we can always discuss about it and find the best solution for you. Have in  mind that the apartment needs to stay vacant at least one hour before the cleaning team comes in due to COVID regulations and the Cloudkeys COVID policy.

Can I leave my luggage before the check-in time?

It is against our policies to leave baggage or any other personal item in the apartment prior to the pre-agreed check-in time. Please use a local luggage storage facility or baggagement.com who provide an excellent service.

How do I collect the keys? Is there a lock-box that you use?

Cloudkeys does not use lock-boxes and the reason is very simple:  Anyone can do a quick search on YouTube and find how to bypass the security code, in most cases with ease.

This poses a great security risk both for our guests (someone creating a copy of the key) and our apartments and staff.

Guests must agree a meeting time (appointment) for the check-in, based on the instructions you will receive after making your reservation. We are always happy to meet you personally and answer all your possible questions about the apartment and your stay in Athens in general.

Do you follow health safety procedures? What is your COVID19 policy?

The health and safety of guests and members of staff are of utmost importance for Cloudkeys. We follow strict internal processes to ensure that our apartments are cleaned thoroughly and sanitized.

All apartments are left vacant at least an hour prior and after our cleaning process.
Bed linen, towels and other white items are cleaned with an ISO certified process and are washed at over 60° Celcius.
Sofas, chairs, switches, door handles are sanitized using a specialized air heating device.
Cleaners use a clean set of gloves and hand sanitizer to prepare bedding and other amenities available for guests.
Check-in staff wear protective masks, constantly use hand sanitizer and minimize contact whenever possible.
Guests with special needs are encouraged to contact our guest support team to ensure a smooth check-in experience.

Do you require identification documents? What personal information do you ask for?

For safety and security reasons our check-in staff will ask for your ID or Passport. This is also required by the tax authorities in Greece in order to declare your reservation at the mandatory short-term rental registry. We reserve the right to take a photo of your ID or Passport.

All personal data is handled in accordance to our privacy policy and our GDPR obligations. This data is partially kept in a secure location at our technology providers and the other part is registered at the relevant tax authority, where we are required to declare your identification details and TAX ID (AFM) if you are a Greek citizen.

Part of this data is also used in the receipts and invoices that will be sent to you after your check-in at the apartment. Cloudkeys will use this data only if required to do so by the local authorities, to seek damage compensation, to settle disputes with any banking institution, or any other legal procedure under the Greek Law.

Can I view the apartment before renting it?

It is not possible to view an apartment prior to renting. This is due to the fact that our apartments are at various locations in Athens and there is no check-in desk.

We can assure you however that what you see in the apartment photos is exactly what you get. Most apartments are available on various rental platforms and have great public reviews that you can see.

If you are unsure about which apartment is suitable for your travel needs, please do get in touch and our friendly concierge team will find the perfect one for you.

Are bed linen and towels provided? Do I need to bring my own?

Fresh bed linen and towels are provided for every short-term reservation. You do not need to bring your own. A large body towel and a face towel are provided. Additionally, make-up removal towels are also available when requested.

If your reservation is for more than one week, a second set of towels and bed linen will be provided. If you need extra, please contact our concierge team at the phone number you will find in your reservation confirmation email.

Do you provide hair drier?

Yes. Hair drier is provided in every apartment.

Do you provide iron and ironing board?

Yes we do both, however on our smaller apartments there may be a small ironing board due to spacing limitations.

What if there is a fault or an emergency?

Cloudkeys is committed to providing a high level of service and provides emergency 24-hour contact. All apartments are checked technically after every checkout.

If there is a technical fault, we will do our best to provide an immediate solution. During the day we work with several professionals that can rectify technical issues in the apartments.

During the night hours or on Sundays and Public Holidays, technical support may not be available. Our team will do its best to provide a temporary solution until a qualified professional can provide repairs.

Please note it is important and your responsibility to follow our check-in and checkout procedures, and also listen to any specific procedures you need to be aware in relation to the building and its security and safety measures. After all these security measures are for your safety too, not just the permanent residents of the building.

All other issues related to security must be reported to the police immediately.

Payment information

Do I need to pay for my reservation for it to be confirmed?

All reservations are subject to our cancellation and payment policies. During the reservation process, you can see all the available options.

When will you charge my credit card? Can I pay with cash on arrival at the apartment?

Typically all our apartments available for rent have a certain free cancellation period. After the free cancellation ends we will charge your credit card.

Please note that the credit card you used for renting one of our furnished apartments needs to be present during check-in. In some cases, in order to prevent fraudulent or fake reservations we may charge your credit card during the free cancellation period.

Cash payments are not possible.

Do I receive an invoice for my reservation?

We are able to issue from a Visa confirmation to a simple receipt, a simple invoice, an invoice as well as intra-community invoice.

Can I reserve now and pay later?

We can put together a payment plan for everyone. Please contact us to arrange it.

I want to book for more than 30 days. Can I?

Sure you can. Please contact us to ensure the best price possible.

Are there any other hidden fees?

The provided price is the final price. No hidden fees.

Can I change or cancel my reservation?

Unfortunately, 14 days before the check-in, the reservation is non refundable.
